Lindstrøm Hotel in Lærdal is idyllically located between beautiful, pastel-coloured wooden buildings in the old quarter of Lærdal - Gamle Lærdalsøyri.
Lindstrøm Hotel is a mix of old and new styles. Designs from the 19th century are allowed to interplay with newer Scandinavian design. Enjoy beautiful classic wallpapers in one room and modern furniture design in another.

Some of the furnishings are original while others were acquired over the years. We like to mix old and new, while keeping the cosy atmosphere.

Building in the Swiss style
Lindstrøm 1899 is one of our oldest buildings, known as “Nybu”. It was built to extend the hotel operation and quickly became popular among the English salmon enthusiasts who came to Lærdal to fish.

Main building from the 1960s
The main hotel building was built in the 1960s by architects Jon and Claus Lindstrøm. A solid building that houses reception, a souvenir shop, dining rooms, a bar and most of the rooms.
Traditional food
We use fruit and vegetables grown locally in Lærdal to make good, home-made food. You will enjoy some memorable meals at Lindstrøm Hotel.
Things to do
From Lindstrøm Hotel you can wander backwards through history. Take a walk through the old quarter, Gamle Lærdalsøyri, see the King’s Road, visit Borgund stave church, the best-preserved medieval church in Norway, or find out more about the world famous Lærdal River, which has been a Mecca for salmon anglers since 1850.
